Las Vegas is
known as the "Marriage Capital of the World" because
it is very easy and cheap to get married here, and "Honeymoon"
facilities are everywhere. Commercial wedding chapels are
very popular as they can provide everything from the traditional
wedding to the more zany Drive-thru chapels or Elvis-as-your-best-man
wedding. Approximately 100,000 marriage licenses are issued
annually in Las Vegas. The most popular days to be married
here are Valentine's Day and New Year's Day. Smaller wedding
chapels provide wedding packages that start at around $40.00
and go up from there depending upon the frills you choose.
Keep in mind that the wedding chapels within the large hotel-casinos
tend to be more expensive.
Nevada
